Project Overview:

In this study, an ultrafine nanobubble technology was employed to treat fluorescent whitening agent‑contaminated wastewater, with accompanying trend charts clearly illustrating the patterns of water quality changes. As the reaction time increased, the COD concentration in the effluent steadily declined, and the COD removal rate rose consistently; after one hour, the removal rate exceeded 60%, demonstrating remarkable degradation of organic pollutants. Visual inspection of the treated samples revealed a pronounced decolorization effect: the raw water was turbid and yellowish, whereas the treated effluent appeared clear and transparent.

Ultrafine nanobubbles, with their exceptionally large specific surface area, enhance ozone mass transfer efficiency and strengthen oxidative degradation capabilities. They can efficiently degrade refractory organic compounds such as fluorescent whitening agents, simultaneously reducing COD and decolorizing wastewater. The process operates stably and is well suited for the advanced treatment of fine‑chemical industrial effluents, supporting compliance with discharge standards and promoting water resource recycling.
