The Jin Gu He River is a river‑management project under the corporate river‑chief system, located in the residential area of Panhuo Subdistrict, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City. It maintains a permanent water volume of approximately 54,000 tons. Prior to remediation, the waterway had long been in a eutrophic state, with extremely low dissolved oxygen levels and extensive mats of algae and decaying aquatic vegetation covering its surface. Each summer, cyanobacterial blooms would erupt on a large scale, turning the water murky and foul‑smelling, severely disrupting the daily lives of nearby residents.
The core remediation measure involves deploying the Zhuhong ultra‑micro‑nano bubble generator. Following commissioning, dissolved oxygen levels in the water have steadily increased, while pollutant indicators such as COD, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus have declined markedly, thereby severing at the source both the nutrient supply and the hypoxic conditions that fuel algal blooms.
Two comparative images vividly illustrate the stark contrast between conditions before and after treatment: in the river section where the equipment was deployed, the once‑rampant cyanobacterial blooms have largely disappeared, leaving the water surface clean and clear; by contrast, in the untreated stretch, cyanobacteria continue to proliferate extensively, forming a dense, blanket‑like cover. This striking visual comparison provides compelling evidence of the superior algal‑suppression efficacy of ultramicro‑nanobubble technology.
As cyanobacterial blooms have subsided and water transparency has improved markedly, the riverine ecosystem has begun to recover, and the sight of large schools of fish migrating upstream has reappeared. The once black, malodorous waterways that once plagued residential areas are now clear and green, and the quality of life and sense of well-being among local residents have risen significantly as a result.
