Recently, at the annual conference of the Ningbo Environmental Science Society, Ningbo Zhuhong Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. was awarded the Third Prize for Ecological and Environmental Technology Innovation in Ningbo for 2025, thanks to its project titled “Research and Development of an In-Situ Control Device for Ultra-Fine Nanobubbles and Its Demonstration Application in Controlling Algal Blooms in Rivers and Lakes.” This award not only represents high recognition of Zhuhong Nanotechnology’s innovative strength in the field of ecological and environmental technology but also marks a significant step forward in addressing the issue of algal blooms in rivers and lakes.
Ningbo Zhuhong Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. was established in 2015 as a national-level high-tech enterprise jointly funded by the Ningbo Municipal Government and the Yinzhou District Government. The company specializes in the research, development, and application of ultrafine nanobubble water and related fields. Its newly developed in-situ control device for ultrafine nanobubbles, which utilizes internationally advanced ultrafine nanobubble generation technology, has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in controlling algal blooms in rivers and lakes. By generating large quantities of ultrafine nanobubbles, this device increases the dissolved oxygen content in water bodies, improves the aquatic environment, and effectively inhibits the growth and reproduction of cyanobacteria, thereby achieving in-situ control of algal bloom disasters.
In terms of application demonstrations, Zhuhong Nano’s project has achieved excellent results in the management of multiple rivers and lakes. By deploying ultrafine nano-bubble in-situ control devices in actual water bodies, the water quality in these areas has significantly improved, algal blooms have been effectively controlled, and aquatic ecosystems have gradually regained their balance. The successful implementation of this project provides new technological solutions and practical experience for addressing the issue of algal bloom disasters in China’s rivers and lakes.
