Recently, Ningbo Zhuhong Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. has successfully made its mark on the international market. Its innovatively developed Zhuhong® Yuanqibao® series equipment has delivered remarkable results in a seawater milkfish intensive‑culture project in Cebu City, Philippines, bringing transformative change to a leading local aquaculture enterprise.
As a major aquaculture nation, the leading enterprise in Cebu City holds a prominent position in milkfish farming and hatchery operations. The project site comprises more than 200 ponds, each with a water depth of 1.5 meters and a volume ranging from 100 to 200 cubic meters. For years, enhancing dissolved oxygen levels in the culture waters—thereby improving milkfish survival rates and promoting individual growth—has remained a persistent challenge for the company.
For this project, we have carefully selected one 2.2 kW Zhuhong® Yuanqibao® land‑based unit and one 4 kW Zhuhong® Yuanqibao® submersible unit. Both systems leverage cutting‑edge nano‑bubble technology to efficiently dissolve oxygen into the water. In practical application, the results were immediate: the dissolved oxygen level in the aquaculture water rose rapidly from its initial 2.8 mg/L to 6.5 mg/L within a short period. With an external oxygen supply, the DO further surged to an impressive 10.61 mg/L, with both near‑ and far‑site measurements exceeding saturation—averaging 10.28 mg/L at the near point and 8.31 mg/L at the far point. Moreover, following installation of the equipment, water clarity in the pond improved markedly, creating a superior growing environment for the cultured species.
This success story has injected new vitality into the marine aquaculture industry in Cebu City, Philippines, and marks a solid step forward for Ningbo Zhuhong on its journey to international markets.
